Trump: The War Between Russia and Ukraine Is About to End

Al-Taj News – US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he met with Kirill Dmitriev, the special envoy of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Trump added in his remarks to reporters at the White House that the war between Russia and Ukraine is about to end, and that ending it may include all of Europe.

The United States is intensifying its efforts to reach an agreement ending the war between Russia and Ukraine, alongside preparations for a round of trilateral negotiations among Washington, Moscow, and Kyiv in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11, to discuss post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian files, and ways to end the conflict.

These moves come following meetings held by US envoy Steve Witkoff with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg, and contacts with Ukrainian and European officials, while Moscow and Kyiv remain far apart on the terms of a settlement, particularly regarding issues related to Ukrainian territories and security guarantees.
